Post op help needed...

What I love about this site is I can be brutally honest with my weaknesses and get good advice from everyone on how to help myself....

I am scared to death, did I make the wrong decision ... I was banded on the 28th stayed over night b/c of sleep apnea so yesterday was my first day home. I am suppose to be on a clear diet but I am so hungry I have been eating little bites of stuff here and there. I know this can't be good but don't know how to get my head wrapped around the idea of the band. How bad have I hurt myself and the band by eating the little things???? I am scared I am going to mess this whole opportunity up..... Any suggestions from you guys would be sooooo appreciated. Only on Clear liquids at the moment but I think I can go to Protein shakes tomorrow which I am hoping will alleviate some the these weeknessess. Thank you again for any suggestions.....

Wow, we are really so different. i havn't had a single ounce of hunger since i was banded on wednesday.

I wonder why its so different for all of us.

I feel really lucky.

Amber I am with you I have only felt hunger on third day post op most of my hunger is in my head. I have forced myself to eat. I feel lucky in this as well but at times it contributes to me being nauseated when I have to force myself to eat.

I too was banded on the 27th and I am starving today. I have tried to pay attention to my Fluid intake I have had popcicles, broth, a shake, and i am literally starving... On top of that I am having horrible back pain. i hope that i can get the hang of this soon!

I was banded the 28th and I"m so hungry, I tried mashed and thinned black-eyed peas last night, it was fantastic and it was thin enough to go through a straw which counted it as a full liquid :) This morning I had to make myself drink a protein shake to keep hunger at bay, I think this may be the only way to hold it off for a few hours.

SN: Does anyone have staples? I was surprised to find staples when I took the bandages off after 48 hrs. I've had to put bandaids over them after showering because they rub my clothes and hurt  My f/u appt is 9 Feb hopefully they'll come out without a problem.
