How long before swelling goes down?

Hello everyone. I was banded last Friday, January 21st. I was wondering about how long it's taken for the swelling to go down after your lapband surgery.

I'm still REALLY puffy :D . Just ready to see my belly button again!!!

Oh...and I was wondering where I place my ticker so it shows up in my posts. Right now I have it in my "About Me" section, but apparently that's the wrong spot!

Thanks!

Hello wonder, I was wondering that myself and did not get many replies on it, I will tell you I had my surgery 1/6/2011 and just today it started to go down. I was huge especially after I ate or drank anything,it's been 3 weeks for me so hang in there and walking helped I started yesterday on my treadmill but I was walking before that and walking and drinking tons of water and gasx after I eat helps also :-) hope that helps!!!

I want to say it took about a week to ten days for the puffiness to go away. I didn't have gas pains at all so mine might have been sooner than others. It does get better every day - even if only slightly. Hang in there!
