It is pretty clear when it happens. I am not sure anyone could miss it. It is basically when something is stuck and your saliva backs up in your esophagus. You feel your mouth fill with saliva. Sometimes the feeling will pass quickly - and sometimes it is the precursor to a PB. Personally, I hate it.

Oh! That sounds disturbing! Is it more of a ' not chewing' thing or an eating too much thing, usually?

Yes to both. And if you can, you'll be better off if you can spit out the slime, rather than having it clog the pipe again.

Is it a feeling of having to clear your throat or something totally different. Last night after my dinner, I noticed I kept having to clear my throat. Not thick mucous , just kind a clear , thin phlim. Similar to post nasal drip. Was that sliming I experienced yesterday ?
