night hunger

Anyone only get really hungry at night? I can go all day without any hunger pains and actually have to remember to eat & drink my protein shakes. This all changes after 9pm....seems like I'm so hungry! I want to nosh on something...anything! I usually try to only have a few crackers with 1 Laughing Cow cheese and a few slices of apple. That does the trick but I crave something every night? I have a decent dinner too so is it just bad habits?

  • Costco has packages of cooked chicken breast strips in the refrigurated section. They come in a dual package so I put one in the freezer. Wayyyy cheaper than the ones in reg. grocery store.

I have the same issue. I am not physically hunger, just head hunger. If someone could just invent a band for the brain. I read somewhere a couple of days ago: "If hunger is NOT the problem then food is NOT the solution."

I'm in therapy for my binge eating disorder which always takes over at night unfortunately, just like everyone else. I try to tell myself that all the food I'm craving will still be there tomorrow - its not necessary to eat everything right now. And of course, my band is so loose at night (yet I cant eat anything before 3-4 in the afternoon). Head hunger and compulsive eating are really difficult issues and I've not found that the band takes away my head issues. Hoping therapy will help me.
