Gas X strips and WALK WALK WALK!!!

hey I had my surgery yesterday and the gas pains are horrific...any advise on how to get rid of it?

I had pain horribly in my left shoulder. Gas X did nothing for me. I had to take the pain medicine they gave me, and that was the only time I took it was for the gas pain! It was worse than my incision pain! It will get better in the next few days. Just try to walk as much as possible and stay positive!! I did not think I would feel human ever again. About a week later I realized I was wrong! ;-)

Gas X doesn't really work since the gas isn't in your stomach it's all around your internal organs. The best thing I found was to take tylenol and put a heating pad on my shoulder while lying down and then walk and move a lot. It helps dissipate the Co2. It is miserable but it went away after day three.

I have found the gas x strips to work for me, maybe its just mental. I was banded yesterday as well and the gas pains are worse than the incisions but i have a very high tolerance for pain luckily. I also find that walking helps and laying flat every half hour in my bed really shifts the gas almost to the point of me giggling from the gas bubbling through my upper body.
