Hey folks,

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you all. I know a lot of people have been creating posts in regards to what they are looking foward to with the upcoming anticipation with weight loss. I know for me, the thing I'm looking forward to the most is having more conficdence and meeting more men. LOL Ladies...and Gents, stand up if you hear me. I know I am probably lame for this but I have never really put myself out there to meet guys. Sure when I was smaller and even at times when i was bigger, I would get advances. But I am just really really looking foward to feeling good about myself and sharing my company with somebody of the opposite sex. LOL, this is a silly post.

Also, OMG In regards to the "Big Secret" post, one of my friends almost completely let the cat out of the bag. She is only one of three friends I have told about the procedure. On Facebook, I sent a mass message to like 15 friends asking for their address cause I just got a new address book. Well if you respond back to everyone and NOT just me..THEN everyone receives the responce. WELL SHE responded back to everyone with her address and is like "so when is your surgery" UGH!!!!

I had to do damage control and was like "Nope, no surgery..." I mean, I know I am going to have to eventually tell everybody and I am fine with that, but I don't want everybody to know just yet, I haven't even had the surgery yet. I wish she hadn't done that. Anways, I guess things happen for a reason. Surgery date is the 28th. Start liquid diet on the 22nd. Best of luck to you all...

I hear you sister -- I definitely am looking forward to feeling better about myself, increased confidence, and a return of my personality -- also meeting men :D ... you are not alone and it isn't silly -- that is one of the definite benefits of losing the weight -- to feel good and sexy again! I also understand about not telling everyone - I think that is wise -- just your very closest friends/family for support - no one else needs to know until you are ready to tell them. Some tend to judge and we don't need that - we just need encouragement as this is a definite life changing event and will be ongoing for the rest of our lives. Take care and good luck -- the surgery is really minor and you will do fine. I just got banded on December 3 and feel good -- looking forward to the first fill to feel the restriction, but have already lost about 9 pounds and feeling so much better already.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
