The pain is from the co2 gas during your surgery. It escapes the body by passing gas{farting} orpassing from under the diapragm, which irritates the phrenic nerve which causes the left shoulder pain. The best way to relieve is to walking. It should be better in a couple o days.

It could be gas or it could be phrenic nerve pain. Easy fix if it's gas. Get up and move around. If it's the nerve pain, you just hope that it goes away as you lose weight. Mine hasn't.

.

Ouch. My doc warned me about referred pain post-surgery. Thank goodness he did or I would have been freaked out. I had a little but it as well as 'feeling' the band went away in just a few short days.

Hope yours does too.

Good luck and keep in touch with your doc.
