Hi all I know its only been a few days since i had lapband surgery. 5 days But I havent had a bowel movement. Is it because I'm not eating solid food? All i drink is those pure protein shakes, muscle milk light and water? Is this normal? What have you guys experienced. I really dont feel constipated either.

Hi Leesmimi, I also had lap band surgery on Friday 12/10. And I feel the same way you do. I thought I wouldn't be hungry after surgery. Not true. I want to eat food. Instead i drink another Protein shake. and that usually does the trick. I am going to doctors to check out wound on thursday and cant wait to ask if i can start mushie foods. Good luck to you. Its been about 5 days that i had the lap band surgery and my body is still in pain. Especially my left shoulder. Has anyone else experienced the same.

i would actually love to eat a burger. But I'm not nearly as close to me goal as i would like. Pure protein shake here i come.

Newbie. Just had surgery on friday 12/10. and today is sunday and im bloated and maybe a pound or two more. I'm drinking liquids shakes and following doctors orders. How quickly did you lose weight. and how long did it take.

hi all I know its to soon to judge however my belly looks bigger than before.. its only been two days. Friday i got banded. But my stomach is like a basketball. Not to much gas is being released.. How long does it usually take for the the swelling to go down. and does anyone else feel nausea and some dizziness.

Thanks Stacy, I am so temped to eat regular food. But i definitely do not want to vomit or get sick in any which way. I want to do as i was told ....liquids 10days after sugery....etc... But if i do eat solids will definetaly chew very slowly. thanks .

Hi all, I was banded on Friday and today is Sunday. Other than some pain. I feel the same. Still hungry I am able to take gulps. I have not eaten solid foods. however my stomach is growling. Is this normal. I am wondering if they filled the band. Anyone experience the same thing?

I just got banded yesterday.. i was so excited until the numbness and anesthia were off. The pain is as if i were hit by a bus. They give some serious pain medication at hospital which worked up to3-4hours then pain came back double... I was then released went home (like you about 10hrs later) only to find the pain increasing. i took the prsecribe hydrocodone but really didnt help. Today my whole body from neck, shoulders, arms, of course belly and some weakness in legs. I feel like a gutted fish. And havent slept been pacing all night. Walking does help..... I wish you much weight loss.
