Hey guys I have my 1st consult tomorrow 12/1 yay!!!!! after waiting a whole month and I'm so excited. I was wondering if you guys can help me come up with a list of questions for him. I have some things I want to ask but I'm putting it out here just incase there is something I haven't thought of!!!

Is this meeting with the office or with the doctor? I had a 3 hour meeting with the Nurse, dietician, and Psychologist where they determined whether I was a good candidate then I could meet with the doctor. Anyway some questions for the doctor could be: are you a candidate for single incision surgery (I was not my BMI was to high); will you be required to loose a specific amount of weight presurgery; do they require a specific presurgery diet (some require an all liquid diet 2 weeks prior to surgery; do they have a preferred brand of Band that they always use or does it depend on the patients anatomy (LAP or Realize); do they keep people over night (as long as you are'nt there more than 24 hours most hospitals consider it day surgery. I am super glad I was in the hospital that first night).

Hi:

You might want to ask him/her how many bands he/she's already done.

You might want to ask what his/her post surgery follow up recommendation is.

You might want to ask if you have to stick to a strict schedule for fills or do you call when you feel you need a fill and how long does it take to get appointments.

The follow up care is just as important as the surgery and is critical for your success.

Best wishes to you.

Sue
