Was banded Oct 15. I did the pre diet and lost 20lbs and immediately after surgery lost about 5 more. At 3 weeks out I hit a brick wall. I didnt gain but didnt lose. I was starting to get angry since the numbers wouldnt move. I was already working out and eating regular food. I was starving by the time I had my first fill. The day I had my fill I was still starving. I also had an appointment with my nutritionist. He said I was doing well but may want to eat more calories. I was only able to get in about 600 a day. Well let me tell you... I switched up my food intake to slightly higher good calories and in the past 7 days I lost 4 lbs. It was amazing that adding only 100 to 200 calories a day helped to move the weight loss along.
My first fill gave me absolutely no restriction. In fact I can eat anything. I have been struggling with hunger in between meals but so far my will power has held strong. Im glad I go for another fill on the 30th.
I just wanted to bring up the point that you still need to feed your body. Calories are not necessarily our enemy. We need the energy our food provides. Also, once I stopped using so much Protein supplements and relied on my food for protein, my numbers started to move again.
I just wanted to share in case someone else is in the same boat. Food is not bad, junk is.
