surgery wed and chickening out!!

I already cancelled a dr appt 1 time, but then decided to go for it. My surgery is in 3 days and I feel like I want to cancel it. I have it in my head that I will never really be able to eat again. How much do people really eat after having it done? Do you feel deprived? Please help!

Marisas and DizzyGirl, let us know how you did.

  • 1 month later...

I enjoy eating! I just eat less!!! I do not eat breads or pizza...Do not miss it. I have lost 106 pounds in 24 months and I am never hungry.... Go for it....You will not regret it! I had my surgery at 6 am and I was home by 12:30 that afternoon!!

Was your hospital bill cheaper since you opted to not stay overnite?

That's really good to hear. My LB is on Dec 2nd and Im getting really nervous....not like regretting the decision or thinking about cancelling like the OP, but I'm just getting really anxious

Marisas, I hope you went through with it. I got the band on 09/08/10 and have not had problems with any food. I've lost 40 lbs. I do struggle with only eating small amounts and wanting to eat more, but I tell myself, that I got the band for a reason and I don't want to screw it up. I am winning the battle against my wanting to eat and eat and then eat some more. I know that I am getting enough. Good luck to you.
