Stomach bloated??

Hi All

I had my surgery last Friday 29/10 and according to doc all went well. Have lost 6 kilos already which is great.

Had a lot of pain from gas in my left shoulder but seems to have settled now.

At the moment my stomach is very bloated and feels bigger than it was before the surgery. Feels like im 9 months pregnant. Is this normal or should I be more concerned??

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

:)

Mine was like this for almost 2 weeks, on day 10 it started going down. Felt like I had just had a giant meal.

I had mine on 10-07-10 and the swelling did finally go down, just very slow for me :)

Hope this helps.

Very normal since they pump in gas to do surgery, it seems the body doesn't absore it right away. I felt bloated for about 2 weeks, lived for my GasX and I found it very uncomfortable/lightly painful for over a week. It does PASS!:frown:

Thanks for your replies, makes me feel heaps better. Today my stomach has gone down alot, not as much as I would like , but as you say it will take time. :frown:

I understand exactly what you are going through, I was banded on Monday... never did have too much shoulder pain though... however I feel bloated and heavy. It's from the gas they use during surgery to expand the abdomen. Like the others said... it will eventually go away, it just takes time. I've tried Gas-X, I've tried walking......it's just gonna take time.
