Need suggestion, problems getting fluids down

New to the site, had my lapband surgery 10/27, came home 10/28 and on 10/29 had to go to the MD's office to have Fluid removed from my band because it had swollen shut. Now I can take 4 ounces over 30 minutes, however the Protein supplement I am taking is hard to sip over 30 - 60 minutes. I have to work at it all day to keep from dehydration. Anyone have any great ideas. I will be on protein supplements and Clear liquids (no jello) until I don't have that chest fullness when I am taking my supplements.

Any suggestions welcome

Go back and let them remove a tiny bit more. A lot of people have no fill at the time of surgery. You can always have it put back. It is a must that you can drink, you should have no troubles drinking.

Call your doctor. If there's still Fluid in your band, you should have some taken out. You shouldn't have any difficulty drinking liquids.

I agee, call your doctor, maybe they didn't take enough out. Or, your trouble could be due to swelling from surgery. I would see what the doc. says.

i 4th the idea of calling the md
