Im extremely nervous about this lapband process. Im in the beggining stages. I will be having surgery at Womack Army Medical Center on Fort Bragg if I get approved. I called this morning and the nurse ask me questions over the phone to see if i even qualify. I wonder if they would have considered me if I didnt qualify to their standards. I guess they go off of your BMI because she ask me my height and weight and my BMI turned out to be 39.7 ...close enough to 40 she said. Now I have an appointment on the 29th (Im assuming its a seminar) for four hours. I have told myself that even if I dont get approved by tricare that I wont be disappointed (disappointments are apart of life) She also ask me if I was taking any medcations or had any illness. I told her that I have PCOS...thats it. I got the feeling from her that she see's if someone is qualified before they even give you an appointment. Anyway...I qualified and now have to pick up my packet from Womack and attend my appointment.
