Pre-Op Diet

Hello everyone! I'm new to the site. I am scheduled for surgery on November 16, 2010.

I am required to do the Atkins Diet for 2 weeks prior to surgery. How many people were required to follow this diet? Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

Most people do a pre-op diet of some kind.

For most, its actually a two week liquid diet, so if your doctor is letting you do atkins you will have it a lot easier than most.

I'm actually starting my pre-op diet today. Meat, green veggies, eggs and cheese only. I almost rather do the liquid diet! This is hard and it's only 12:43pm. lol I had two boiled eggs and some cheese for breakfast. Not sure what the rest of the day holds but I do know the last time I tried this type of diet I felt like punching a hole thru the wall!
