I'm so hungry

I am really struggling with the hunger issue. I also feel I have to sit there and say "Hey is this in my head or my stomach?"

I'm coming into the end of my second week of Clear liquids and I am SO HUNGRY!!!!

I feel like I have to distract with activities, or go to sleep because it is torturing me!

Does anyone have any suggestions how they deal with the hunger monster?

How can a person be full with liquids?

Thanks!

UGH...how I remember those horrible days. The liquid diet was the worst. I questioned whether or not I did the right thing and I cried all the time. I was hungry the moment I woke up until the moment I went to sleep. The surgery which I was so scared of was actually the easy party. The aftermath of the surgery (liquid diet) was so tough. Just hang in there...once you get to the mushies it will get so much better. I had my surgery on July 7th 2010 and I feel great and am so glad I had the surgery.

hi,im going into my third week(puree)and im starving too,i dont really have any advice on how to feel full, but i just wanted to tell you ,your not alone and until you have your first feel ,i guess its normal to be hungry.:)

I cant tell if I am hungry or not either! I sit here watching my family eat a normal dinner and I am so jealous yet I have this horrible indigestion feeling in my chest and wish I could have the burp of my life. My stomach is grawling too. But its it in my head or am I hungry. I am worried the indigestion will get worse if I have anything!

So far I hate this. I know it hasnt even been a week yet but UGH! Why cant time fly like it does with everything else in life????:)

What are you having for protein. For the first 7 days I was on clear broth but could have protein shakes. If you are'nt getting protein that's why you are so hungry. Also how often are you eating? If you are only having broth I would just increase your servings per day. A cup of broth only has like 30 calories.

:tongue2:

i myself, just want something solid to munch on.

i've realized i've been isolating myself because it is difficult to be around people who are eating or be around things i'd like to eat. it's damn near torture when my roomies bring my fave [chinese food] and the smell seeps to my room.

awful.

i just want it to be the 13th so i can find out what i'm permitted to eat because this is just not fun.

it's tough, but i just keep reminding myself "this is what i signed up for. you bought the ticket, now ride the ride."
