Diuretics?

So I recently went on a little vacation, and I guess I ate a lot of salty food. Yesterday and today when I've woken up, my feet have been swollen, and I gained 6 lbs from where I was before I left. I didn't eat the best foods, but I didn't eat enough to gain 6 lbs in two days, plus I did more exercise (walking/hiking) than I have done at all since surgery so I'm pretty sure it's Water retention.

Is it ok to take a diuretic for a couple of days. I just want to get back to where I was before, and stop the swelling. Yesterday I drank a ton of water and I plan on doing so again today but it obviously isn't helping.

Prescription diuretics your doctor has given you for this purpose? Or over-the-counter ones?

I tend to just wait it out--move a bit more and give it some time.

But six pounds in a couple of days can pose health risks for some people--if you have any blood pressure or heart issues, I'd give the doc a call.

since we're not supposed to take advil I take an over the counter diuretic during my cycle...it helps with the swelling. def talk to your doc first though!

"a squeeze of fresh" of what? sorry I gotta ask

Diuretics are typically prescribed medicines... and can be dangerous if taken without Dr's advice, it can lower your blood pressure.

hot water..like tea temp...and a squeeze of fresh..has to be fresh not bottled....does the trick. its a natural diuretic. works great!

yeah so i probly should have mentioned lemon lol

Its a lemon, i use a whole wedge, cuz i like it
