The other day I realized that since surgery I have not woken in the middle of the night feeling starved. The biggest change for me is that my hunger now feels what I think is "normal". Yes, I get hung

So good to see how everyone is doing. I'm down 97lbs! I never thought it would be this successful. I really think the exercise has been the key. The only down side I've had is some gall bladder pr

Hello Fellow September Bandsters

I have been feeling a little discouraged with my weight loss as of late but I after reading a few pages from the forum I think I know what i have to do, count calories again. I haven't been counting and I think that's the problem. thanks for the inspiration. I'm hoping to break the 50lb loss mark this month so we'll see!.

Oh i finished the Avon 2 day walk here in Chicago over the weekend. You would have thought I'd lose 3lbs from the 26 miles but no such luck. Oh well I won't get discouraged, pressing on!

I'm with you. I was doing lose it but have fallen off. It's mainly counting the protein for me and making sure I'm getting it in

Ahhh, my band is filled again. I am doing the happy dance! No more hunger. He put 5cc in and we are going to see if we need to add any more next month but I think this is where I need to be. I was at 6 before the slip so I didn't want to go that much all at once.

LisaA, maybe a little fill will be all you need to get rid of the hunger. When you go so long without being hungry it is very frustrating to feel that almost "out of control" feeling again. I hated the month of not having any fill in my band. Wishing you good luck!

I like the idea of this for a bit of protien. I don't use injury but I have another brand.

Hi all, I had my band put in 9/22/10. Just wanted to share with you all that I have lost 80 lbs. so far. Sometimes it is easy and sometimes it is hard. Just had a small fill .2. Dr. didn't feel I needed more. I have my last fill in February, so I was starting to feel hungry in between meals. I was not lasting 4-5 hours. I just can not get into exercising like I see a lot of posters do. I have been walking a lot more. But just can not get myself to go to the gym.

papoose, that is awesome, exercise will just make it better, including walking- just move your body like 4 times a week at least for 30 minutes.

so I am wondering how many cc's folks have, and how their hunger is and lbs lost and diet start date.

I have 8 ccs most of the time my hunger is good, but this week there is more hunger, I'm gonna try the pouch test first. I've lost 60 lbs I started dieting Sept 1 2010 surgery Sept 27. I may only 7.5- one time I was checked and I was .5 less then I thought I had.

Thanks LisaA. I have 5 ccs. For the month of May I was hungry a lot. I felt I was eating a lot more. I also started snacking on chips. Plus my weight was up and down. One week I lost the next I gained. I felt ready for a fill. But Dr. said I was pretty tight and didn't want to add to much more. Today is my first day back to eating and I can feel the tightness, so I am making sure I am chewing, chewing and eating slowly. I also was eating very fast and throwing up a lot.

I have 4.5cc because I had to get an unfill of .5cc in March. I was throwing up a lot back then. I have an appointment on June 24th to see about getting a .2 or .3 small fill to find my sweet spot... I am really happy with the weight lose thus far even if I don't lose for a couple of weeks and then lose 5 pounds at once... really strange, but it is working for me.

As far as hunger... it varies just like my weight. This week I have been really tight and can barely eat my portions. Other weeks I can down double so that is when I have to control my mouth B)

Isn't it funny how we are all different... this band thing is so amazing!!

I have 3cc in right now, they took out 0.5cc at the first of May because I was throwing up a lot...I could use a bit more, but not the full .5cc :) It's funny how so little can make so much difference...

Ok fellow September bandsters...Have any of you tried the 5 day pouch test? I am stuck in a rut...I think a lot of it is because of my thyroidectomy in December, but I'm tired of being stuck and need something to get me back on track.

What is the 5 day pouch test?

You can read more at www.5daypouchtest.com it's a plan to help get you out of cArb cycles and back on track. It's supposed to jumpstart loss again

What is the 5 day pouch test?

ok got the stuff for my 5 day test. starting tomorrow.

Good Luck LisaA. Let us know how it goes!

welp, day 3, solid food- fish and soft protein today. it's interesting, this is the first Monday that I got on the scale that I was 1 down from the wed. before. My pattern for like 3 weeks was 240 on Wed. then 242 by Sunday back to 240 by Wed.

this week I weighed myself on Monday morning and was 239. - so finally took something off. and today I'm 238. so going in the right direction. this has been my pattern all along- yo yo for a while then shed some. so anyway about the 5 day test. I hate the liquids, i tseems very similar to what you'd do for a fill. The liquid phase I feel like I take in more calories then if I were eating. funny. we'll see how the solids do me, if I feel a bit tighter, I had a little oatmeal with a protein shake for breakfast. not very solid.

anyway that's what I have to report so far.
