Shakes and Bloating?

I have been drinking shakes everyday for about 2 weeks and today I have noticed being bloated. Is this common from the shakes? I dont use milk but buy the slim-fast or special K ones pre-made. I also have lost of gas regularly.

I noticed a lot of bloating and gas back when I was on the 4 shakes a day. I discovered, as many people do, that it was way too much milk for my body to handle. I switched to light soy milk and a soy protein and it all went away. I still have dairy in my diet (cheese stick, cottage cheese, etc.) but not as much as before. Try reducing your dairy intake and see if that changes.

For me, it is brand dependent. I was using a GNC brand that had a powdered multivitamin included and it almost killed me with the gas pain. Try a different brand.

Slim fast gives me horrible gas plus "extra." I can't stand the stuff.

I noticed that too. My grocery store quit carrying the type of soy milk I like so I started using 1% and have gas and bloating like crazy. I guess I will have to travel a little longer to get to a store that does carry my brand. I'm sure its the milk thats causing that problem.
