Thirsty!?!

Hey everyone!

I was banded on the 27th and no lie... ever since I got the band I wake up in the middle of the night so thirsty. I have to keep a bottled Water on my night stand. And it's just not once I am waking up. It's usually 3-4 times a night. I am drinking my required about during the day so I don't know what the problem is.

Any ideas?

Have you checked your blood sugar? Excessive thirst could be an indication of diabetes. Or maybe you are just really thirsty! =)

Are you still on pain meds? They can make you very thirsty. Just a thought...best wishes!

I experienced exactly the same thing right after surgery - an incredible crawling-across-the-desert-only-to-find-it-was-a-mirage thirst. It stopped abruptly when I stopped taking the prescription pain medications. Hope it's the same for you. All the very best on your journey.
