Popcorn

Has your Dr. told you not to eat popcorn? Mine mentioned it and I have a question.

Is it because of the carbs or the kernals? Can the kernals get stuck and cause problems?

Just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this.

Thanks

Haven't had a problem eating popcorn. I'm at 7.4cc in a 14cc band, though.

I have 7 cc in a 14 cc band.... no problems with popcorn here either. It actually is a go to food for me when I am craving that salty snacky (ie chips)...

I'm 5 months post op, and recently emailed my doctor to ask if popcorn is ok. He said as long as its eaten one at a time instead of by the handful. And that for some people it tends to get stuck. Not a problem for me either.

I am pretty tight with 9cc in my Realize band and popcorn is not an issue, a small one at the theatre especially if I havent had dinner and we catch a matinee....then I have a really light dinner, mostly protein. I just dont do it often because of the fat or calories unless you are only getting the microwave 100 cal kind. I would much rather have it every now and then at the theatre or a few bites of my husbands.:)

I've been banded 8 months & I am at my sweet spot. I eat popcorn weekly with no problem. Just eat smart, no big handfuls, a few kernals at a time. It's the best snack!
