Pre-op Diet/ Positive post!!!

Hello ,

Just wanted everyone to see a positive post !!!

For all you starting or needing to do a pre-op diet , i for one , highly reccomend it!!! I did not have to per my DR. but chose to. I did the isopure dutch chocolate shakes for breakfast and lunch , snacked twice a day on low cal mozz sticks(1 per snack). Dinner was a piece of chicken and salad or veggie. I was not Hungry at all surprisingly. I did do the two scoops of isopure and 12 0z of water . Everyone in my Dental office jumped on the band wagon with me and my friend lost 3 lbs her first few days. People were just as amazed as i was. It took me 4 months at Jenny craig to lose easily what i did in just over two weeks!!!!!!!!!! Go for it! it is well worth it and prepares you for the smaller portions.

17.3 lbs for me in 2 weeks 3 days!!!:cursing:

I just started by pre-op diet today... Doing full liquids for the first week, then all Clear Liquids the next week... Its going to be really tough, but I keep telling myself "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels!"

We have the same band date! I am so excited, but I don't have to start my diet until Monday. He only requires a 10 day liquid diet. Good luck to you!

I start my preop liquid diet on Saturday. Luckily I only have to do this for three days. I have been told to drink 4 glasses of full sugar juice each with a scoop of unjury, have 2 cups of broth for the sodium content, and then as much sugar-free popsicles and jello I want. I think I am getting off easy compared to some of the people I work with who have had bariatric surgery. I am ready to get on with it and get my band installed next Tuesday! I am wondering what are good choices for the pureed portion of the diet? Any ideas out there that can be thrown my way?
