Hello Bandsters!

I just found this site tonight, having been banded a week ago today.

No regrets, so far, but it's still pretty early. My first post-op visit is coming up on Tuesday. No fills for 8 weeks, at the earliest.

My surgeon has some fairly strict post-surgery eating guidelines as follows:

Week 1: Clear liquid

Week 2: Full Liquid

Weeks 3-4: pureed Foods

Weeks 5-8: Soft Foods

Week 9: Regular Foods

I cannot tell you how happy I was to have a 1/2 cup of creamy Soup for dinner tonight! Yummmmm.

I'm even more looking forward to scrambled eggs and cottage cheese NEXT week!

I've been eating pretty well for the last few months, but the clear liquid diet for the past 10 days or so has brought on some killer cravings. Luckily, I'm pretty sure it's just head hunger... I haven't really felt hungry hungry. :smile2:

Also looking forward to the end of the gas pain in my shoulders and for my swollen incisions to heal!!

Can't wait to get to know you all!

Isn't it amazing how fuller liquids can feel like the most decadent treat? Welcome to banded life and to LBT, Christie!

Congratulations on your band!! And on being able to eat soup
