I gained 1lb

I was banded on July 7, 2010 and my 1st week I lost 12lbs, well I weighed myself today which is over a week later and the scaled said I gained 1 lb. HOW CAN THIS BE?? I have stuck to the doctors instructions by only eating full liquids. Today was my first day on soft foods and I had 1 scrambled egg. Has this happened to anyone else?? This is very discouraging!!!

You are doing great! Your body weight will naturally flucuate by a few pounds due to hormones, water retention et... Try not to let it get you down. Remember, the initial few weeks after surgery are for healing. Hang in there, the scale will reward you for your hard work in time.

TRUST ME when I tell you this is normal Kelley! It's HORRIBLY frustrating, but it's normal. I was banded May 13. I lost 13 pounds the first week, but then NOTHING for three weeks! I did everything I was supposed to do, but the scale didn't budge. People would tell me that my body was trying to heal, but I didn't want to hear it. They were right though! I am now down 25 pounds. The thing that really helped the scale start moving for me was exercise. Don't give up Kelley! The weight WILL come off! :)
