It's not good - need surgery again!

I am five weeks post-op today. I went back to my surgeon today and he said the tubing has come apart at the top and I need to have it replaced. He said it was one piece and basically it is a defect in the tubing. Anyone ever heard of this? I don't know if I want a new one or just have him take this out and be done with it all. They are calling me back tomorrow after talking to the Lapband Co. I really hate to go through with everything again and can't afford another surgery. What to do? What to do? :grouphug:

Sorry to hear. It is more common that a lot of us would like to think.

If it because of a defective product then Allergan should be made to cover the costs.

You won't have to go through it all again. Probably just the post-op diet. Check out the complication forum and get more info there.

Let us know how this turns out. I really hope it is covered, you have come through the hard part, you can do post op again...a few weeks of your life...I think I would do it. Big hugs.
