Drinking Something Warm

I just had my third fill this past Monday. I now have 6 cc's in a 10 cc band. I followed my post fill diet and everything was good. Well, I decided to drink a coffee the other morning, and it helped my morning tightness so much! Next day (yesterday), I did the same thing. Well, today I didn't. And I haven't been able to eat anything! Liquids went down fine, but real food, I have been spitting up mucus and spit. I've kept the actual food down. So, my question, do I continue drinking coffee or hot tea in the morning? Or do I go get a slight unfill?

I would keep drinking something warm first thing. My doctor told me that during the night mucus can clog up the hole. Drinking something warm will help flush it out making it easier for food to go down.

Coffee every morning for me before I even try to take my pills.

Yes, keep drinking something warm in the morning. I wouldn't get an unfill unless you start not being able to keep anything down. I also have to drink something warm in the mornings, and sometimes even later in the day. I think I just produce too much mucus or something. But drinking hot tea has been a life saver for me.

I always start the day with a nice hot cup of tea(preband as well) and I very rarely have problems eating breakfast. I can't imagine not having my tea - it is more important than food first thing . LOL. When I have had to go for fasting blood tests it is the not having my cup of tea that I struggle with more than no food.

Warm liquids do help to relax your band. However if you get stuck it is better to suck ice chips as they help to reduce swelling.

Thank yall so much!! I am going to get some coffee or tea this morning. I would make my own but we are moving, so my coffee maker is packed away in a box.
