You know, everybody's different. I heard of several folks having this surgery on Thursday and going back to work on Monday.

I was NOT one of those people. I was in bed for 3 days straight. It wasn't until 6 days later that I actually started feeling decent.

Give it a little time - be patient with yourself, and KEEP WALKING AROUND!! It really does help. Make sure to drink your Water so you don't dehydrate!! Take care of yourself! :)

i had surgery last wed. still in bit of pain & discomfort. today is first day i dont take pain meds only gas stuff. I still have a bit of shoulder pain but i had a big hernia they repaired. i know how u feel. i feel ....hmmm...can't explain. uncomfortable. a bit hungry. wish it was all behind me.

Regina it WILL get better! I had my surgery May 13 and for the first five days post op, it felt like someone was blowing a balloon up in my stomach! I was swollen, gassy, in pain, everthing. I started to feel alot better about a week post op. Just hang in there and like Amy said, make sure you stay hydrated! I hope you feel better soon!
