Having a Difficult Time After Fill

I was banded 10-03-05 and came thru it with flying colors I am happy to say. During which time I had lost 27 pounds, but when I went to mushies I gained back 9 pounds in a heart beat! I then went for my first fill last Thursday and I took .8 cc's....I am now PBing on everything but liquids and a few mushies! I understand that the restriction will kick in even more in the next few weeks and I am wondering if I will be too tight then? I find myself even PBing on some liquids as well. Not to mention the fact I am staying hungry but I hate to eat because I have gained back the 9 pounds! Anybody else go thru this crazy time too?

Stick to liquids and call your doc before Thanksgiving is upon you. You will regret it! Sip small and slow. Just like the first few days post-op. You may have some swelling from the fill and from the PBs. The swelling won't go down if you keep PBing so avoid it at all costs. Even hunger. Go get some Egg Drop Soup if you are starving. It goes down well and is full of nourishment. Forget weight loss right now. Get yourself off the PB downward spiral quick! It will be a long holiday weekend if you need a small unfill tomorrow and don't get one. Monday is a long way away.

Terrilen, as hard as it may seem, you really need to get back on liquids for at least 24 hours, maybe even 2 days. This will help reduce the swelling that has occured from all the pbing. And once you introduce food to your new tummy, do it s l o w, s l o w, s l o w.

We want to avoid pbing as much as possible!

Some bandsters gain restriction weeks after a fill... and some do not. Its a wait and see type of thing. Not everyone experiences this. So to say you are too tight, only you and your doctor can figure this one out!
