Well, I am just about 4 weeks out. Dr says I can start bumping up activity level. I went for a fast walk for about an hour today even broke a sweat. Now i am paying for it. My tummy is sore and really swollen! Can I ask what everyone else did for exercise?

All I did for the first 2 weeks was walk around the house. After that I was back to work where I am on my feet a lot. I would just tone it down a bit. Your body may still need time to heal. Keep exercising by all means, but maybe just try 30 minutes of moderate walking at first and gradually build up to more. Good luck!

Yeah, thanks Marie! I didn't walk today but i am going to tommorrow. I think I will only do 30 mins. I was walking 20-30 mins before just not as fast. I guess I will keep the 30 mins and just increase the speed see how that goes! Swelling is better today.

Hi, I see you're from the toms river area. I'm from the princeton area and wonder how did you decide what to have done - i want it all - where did you have your procedure done and would you recommend your doctor? I am going to a seminar tomorrow in my area and have lots of questions. i want to do this but not sure - fear of the knife, costs, how long will i be laid up and on and on. thanks for your advice.

Hi:

I had my Tummy Tuck just over a year ago. I didn't do anything but walk for the first two months. I wore my binder when I was walking too. That seemed to help keep the swelling down. I'd agree with the other poster and build up your time gradually. Maybe even start with just 20 minutes first week, 30 minutes second week, etc.

Take care.

Sue

Beachbumnj,

I used Dr Greg Greco. He has an office in Monmouth and one in NYC. I absolutly love him. He takes his time with you makes sure that you are comfortable with everything that he is going to do. I am a big baby when it come to pain and he made sure I was as comfortable after surgery as possible. I went for a consult and he pretty much told me what i "need". He did a TT, Arms and Lipo of my trunk and legs. I will probably go back in the fall to half the "girls" lifted. I hope this helps. Any other questions just let me know.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
