hi

Hi. I'm new here and thought I'd go ahead and introduce myself. My name is Gypsy and I live in Lawton, OK. I had my lap-band surgery May 20th at United Regional in Wichita Falls, Tx. Dr Chris Finnell was my surgeon with Dr May assisting.

This is all kinda new to me and I'm still trying to figure it all out and not be so darn confused by it all. lol yes that will take time.

So far since my pre-op appt I have lost 13 lbs. Really excited about that too .

Welcome!! I am glad you are on here, this is a great big support group with many people ready and willing to share and answer questions. I have benefited much from being on here. Congrats on your 13 lbs! That is great! Every little bit counts, and that isn't such a little bit!

You've taken the first step. Just remember listen too your stomach, not your mind. I realized that after just a small amount of food, I felt fool. But my mind sometimes say, "that tastes so good, i think i'll have another". But don't give in. You'll eventually learn to know the difference. Keep up the good work, 13 is GREAT!
