I know there is a pain reliever that we are not suppossed to take but can't remember what it is. My hip is bothering me so i took some acetaminophen. Is that the one? Thanks.

Yup, you can take that. You can't take aspirin or ibuprofen.

Acetaminophen is fine. Aspirin is not; aspirin is an NSAID, and can contribute to ulcer formation.

You can't take ibuprofen? Really? I haven't heard that anywhere. No Advil or Motrin?

I couldn't take NSAIDs (ibuprofen, aspirin, alleve) before surgery b/c of their blood thinning qualities but that restriction was lifted 2 days post op...
