Jill and I were both banded by the same office, but different doctors. I have a feeling we both met with the same dietician. Her name is Marty and she has a patient story for every diet dillema I could think of.

My doc said dont do gum becuase you swallow air and messes your pouch up. Same with sucking through a straw

I was told no gum by my surgeon. He said if it gets swallowed, accidentally or on purpose, it can get stucked and have to be removed via scope.
