Something suddenly changed

I did something bad today.

1st off my lapband is well over a year old and have been doing great. I never add the band filled because I had enough restriction nad have been losing weight.

Now on to my bad thing that I did.

I was eating "something I probably shouldn't have" and must have swolled too much at one time and it got stuck. I got thinks stuck before and usually went away in a couple minutes. However this time and didnt go away and I did the unspeakable thing adnd drank a gulp of Water.

Well my stomach became really tight and then a sharp pain. Then I felt the food push through my band. I felt fine. However, after a few minutes later I took another bite and now all the sudden I cacn;t feel the restriction. Its like my band is not there any more.

Anyone know if this is a sign of slippage? I mean maybe my band wasn;t in the right place to begin with and thats why it felt so tight without any fill? I am just not sure.

That sounds scary. Do you still feel no restriction or have things improved? I wonder if after the food slipped through you may have had a bit of slime in your stomach which has helped the next food slide through quickly. I have noticed that myself, sometimes after a bit of slime has passed, a little later things slide through too easily but by the next day I am usually back to normal.

Hope time has improved things for you, otherwise time for the doctor? Good luck.

I don't think your band slipped. My doc. said that when the band slips suddenly your not able to keep anything down. Not sure what is going on with you, probably should talk to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon!
