I'm very nervous! Today I go for my surgery. Today is the first day of the rest of my life!!!

4/20/10 was my surgery date too! How are things going? I can't wait to move up to the pureed stage of eating tomorrow.

Today is the beginning of a new you. I was banded on 11/19/09 and have lost over 60 pounds in five months. I have always made food my best friend. The adjustment to a new way of looking at food is amazing. I wish you so much luck and I am sure you will be successful. Just remember you no longer live to eat, you eat only to live!!:glare::tt2::bored::tt2::sleep::thumbup::thumbup:

Your words are really encouraging - I offically became a "bandster about 11 hours ago. Back at the hotel and can't believe how "well" I feel. Not nearly as much pain as I expected, or maybe it was that I was just mentally prepared for it.

Congrats to you - so glad you feel "well" - that is inspiring to hear - I'm staying very positive about my surgical recovery and I just know I'm going to do "well" too!!!!
