Smoking!!!!!!!!!

I will be getting banded about October 2010...I am doing the 6 month insurance wait. ughhh I hate waiting that long but at least I will be able to get banded!! I am so excited and doing a lot to start preparing for it...

A few weeks ago my hubby stopped smoking cold turkey bc he pretty much had too. So I was thinking to myself huh if he can do it so can I!! I figured if I could go ahead and stop smoking now once I get banded I can workout without being so out of breath etc!! So last weekend I tried to do it cold turkey!! I went 12 hours without of but then bam I was at the store buying a pack. I told hubby after that pack that was it!!! So here I am a week later and done with that pack I bought last weekend...I am happy to say I am on day TWO without smoking!!! I still kinda want one but I have been telling myself NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Just had to share!!! BABY STEPS!! :bored:

quitting is def hard, I am also being banded in October of 2010!!!! same thing, I have to do the 6 month insurance thing...good luck with everything. I have tried quitting many times.

Congratualtions on quitting!! Great job!

Congratulations on quitting. :thumbup:It is one of the best gifts you can give yourself. I smoked for 14 years and I have been smoke free for the LAST 14 years. It gets much easier. I only want to have a cig MABYE once a year now, but I must say I haven't touched even one since I quit.

Yay we def have to stay in touch since we will be banded about the same time! The wait sucks but hey I can work with it since ins is willing to cover most of it!!

It is realllllllllly tough trying to stop smoking but now since I am a month out I am motivated to continue to NOT smoke...It is kinda like a lil game I am playing with myself to see how long I can keep going! Good Luck to ya and like I said lets stay in touch!!
