My 1st Fill isn't going the way I wanted.....

HELP!! Just returned from my first fill and after about 30 minutes, I have terrible heartburn and major hiccups. I only drank a few sips of Water after the fill but now I have some moments where I feel if I threw up, I'd feel better.

Can someone help me? Is this a normal process?

It sounds like the swelling has kicked in and the hole has got fairly small. How big was the fill? You might have had too much put in for you to take at one time, or you could just be one of those people who swells a lot. It doesn't sound like it's closed up completely or else you'd be hurling up spit. Your choices are to go have some taken out or to try to ride out the swelling phase, hoping you'll be good in a day or two. Warm liquids will help with the swelling and relaxing the stomach.

You only have to take a few sips of Water after your fill? I have to put back at least a cup before they'll let me go home.

I agree, could be swelling for sure. I have the same problem after a fill, but in a day or 2 it passes. I have found staying on a liquid diet 2-3 days helps a lot. Make sure you keep hydrated, if you can't keep water down I would call the doc. for sure. Hang in there!

Thanks for the reply! I didn't think about swelling. My band is 10cc empty and they put in 3cc's. I just feel sooooo icky. My first 6 weeks has been such a breeze that when this issue came up, it freaked me out a little. I guess it could be worse...I could be drooling!
