3rd fill and felling pain....help!

Hi all,

I had my third fill last Thursday so I am 6cc in a 10ccband. I am trying to eat food today and it's very painful. Should I keep sticking to liquids and Protein shakes? My last two fills were easy compared to this one. The pain is intense in my stomach area, no vomiting, any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

My doctor always says after a fill 24-48 hours of liquid, then 24-48 of mushie food and then i can go back to adding real food - i find this is a must to be gentle to your stomach - every time you get a fill your stomach/band area get irritated and swells.. so i say stick to liquids for a few days.. then move on -- just like the post of diet. :smile2:

I felt the same way!..except Water was even painful...when going down...I just drove four hours to see my doctor..and he unfilled me a bit..I feel wonderful now..if its too tight..its not worth the pain or the chance of slippage...This was my second fill...and I was at fine on the first one..Hope this helps..POPPYRED

I just went through this, on Feb. 18th I got my 3rd fill. I was in so much pain when I tried to eat, it felt as if someone was in my stomach cutting me every time I ate. My doc. said to stay on protein shakes and liquides for awhile(till I felt better). Well after about 2-3 weeks I was good to go. I feel great now, just give it some time.

Hope this helps, good luck.
