I did it!! 100 lbs. gone!!!

I am thrilled! As of today, I am finally down 100 lbs. I was banded on May 7, 2009. I feel so much better and am much happier! It was absolutely the hardest thing I have ever done, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

It can be done -- just have faith in yourself and keep picking yourself up every time you fall.

Here are my before and after pics:

WAY TO GO!! That is an awesome feat and you should be very very proud of your accomplishment. I have not been very successful and am quite discouraged. Wish you could help me w/ tips and advice?! At what point do you really feel "full" and sometimes I am hungry shortly after eating. I also feel that I am able to consume more than I should be able to (1/4 to 1/c cup) Just VERY FRUSTRATED!!

Congrats on your success! Your before and after pics are amazing and are quite an inspiration!

Thanks again, everyone!

Martytx3, I also sometimes feel hungry shortly after eating. Usually that means I need to go in for a fill. Also, I don't limit myself to 1/2 a cup. I usually eat 1-2 cups of food per meal, depending on the type of food it is. My surgeon has told me there is no problem with that amount. My calorie intake is around 1200. I would highly recommend The Daily Plate to track your weight, food, and exercise. I don't track it daily anymore, but boy, is that a good tool!! Most of all, don't get discouraged! And if you need to go back to your doctor to ask for help, go back. Do not feel ashamed if you don't think you've done as well as you had hoped. Don't give up on yourself! :o:thumbup:

Congratulations ! Looking great ! I can't wait till I hit that mark .. hoping to get there in about 3-4 months .. fingers crossed ...

Congratulations SpideyMom!! I am in the same boat as you in that I need to lose a good amount of weight. What an inspiration you are to everyone. I am in awe. Keep up the great work  :(

I am so proud of you. I would like to see these same results. I have been banded 4 days now and I am very much hungry and scared.

AWESOME! What an inspiration!!!!

I'm hoping to lose about 124 lbs total. I can't wait to even imagine the "after". I haven't been that small since my freshman year of college.

Thanks, everyone! Hard to believe that a year ago I was doing that nasty preop liquid diet, wondering if I was doing the right thing, scared to death, etc., etc. And now I can tell you, it was the best decision I've ever made -- and you too can do this! Keep your chin up, and if you slip up, just get up and keep going!:unsure::blink::frown::scared2:
