  1. Congrats SpideyMom! You are an inspiration to everyone here. I just recently hit -100lbs myself and am now at -104. I feel like I have my life back. Everything is so much easier. Lots of hard work and sacrifice but just like you said, I would "do it again." Cheers
  2. Greetings all. I was just banded on March 7th and I feel great :Banane01:. No pain at all and looking forward to exercising again soon. Not sure when I will be eating solid food but am doing well on the post op diet. Have had some hunger but not overpowering though. Protein helps with the hunger. On full liquids currently. Will find out Monday when I have my post-op appointment when I can progress to solid foods. Cheers :Banane34:
  3. I am in the Tricare South region and will be banded on March 7. So excited. My Doctor submitted a letter of medical necessity and was approved in 2 days. Cheers :cheers2:
  4. I have begun the journey and am so excited. I will be banded on March 7 :bananalama: Have been going to support group meetings and have been inspired by all the people there. Took over 2 years to get to this point. Needed to get my support system in place before I even considered this. For me, this is not "the easy way out". It took a lot of courage for me to get to this point. Can hardly wait to see the new me and shopping for the new clothes that go with it  Will be awhile but I am ready for this journey and the challenges that lay ahead. Cheers :cheers2:
  5. I too can hardly wait to purchase the little black dress. I will be banded by Dr Ferrera on March 7. I am so excited Have done a lot of research and took 2 years to get to this point. I am inspired by Dr Smith though as he has been through what we are all going through. Great staff. Cheers
  6. I too am at this point. Have been thinking about having WLS for awhile but my insurance, Tricare, did not cover. Recently found out via newsletter that LapBand is covered 100%. Called my Dr's office today and they said that I am covered . Have tried WW, Nutrisystem and even starved down a significant amount of weight 15 years ago. Have spoke with hubby, :tt1: God I love him, about it. Have not had any appointments yet but I am excited to finally be starting the process. Bless everybody
  7. Katherine, I am in the same boat as you. Went to a seminar and received a call from the Weight Management Institute today. They are going to check the insurance and get the records from my PCP. I am so looking forward to the "new me."
  8. Congratulations SpideyMom!! I am in the same boat as you in that I need to lose a good amount of weight. What an inspiration you are to everyone. I am in awe. Keep up the great work
