  1. Noticed that I like mushy food that I would never have considered eating before, such as yogurt. You couldn't get me to eat that no matter what. Now Chobani (Greek yougurt) is my friend. It's VERY strange not being hungry. Was banded 3/2/11 and have lost 19 lbs. Lots of new found energy. As it is a 15 days, my body in space hasn't quite adjusted. As I can move faster with less effort if I turn too quickly, I have bounced into walls (2x)! So far, so good.
  2. Was banded yesterday morning 3/2/11. Things are going well. I'm up and about drinking fluids, not much pain, just at the port incision site. Walking helps a lot and oddly have no hunger.
  3. I have whipped my very first Nuvista protein drink in preparation for banding in two weeks. Its chocolate and I put it in a blender with crushed ice. Trying to get it down slowly and have to say not a fan so far. Rather than being a weenie about it I'd love to hear what the Band veterans have done to make it a bit more appealing. Thanks.
  4. Hi-- My name is Richard and I am a 59 year old psychologist/nurse prac who is scheduled to have the Lap-Band done on 3/2/2011. This is not going to be easy but ironically all the people who I have done the psych clearances done are my inspiration! Did the last of the pre-op stuff today, a chest x-ray. So I'm good to go.
