Bread
Bread is a no go for me, the only bread I can tolerate is cornbread and for that I can only have a very small amount. I know it was very hard for me to except that bread was gone especially because i love to have tuna sandwiches,

What Did You Do With Your Clothes?
I know I have lost almost 100 lbs and I find myself new to the job market after recent unemployment with only 1 professional suit to wear to a job interview. I would apprecfiate any clothing donations that are size 14-16. I donated all of my size 24 clothes to the local domestic violence shelter now I find myself without for my new pursuit in the job market.

And look at that!!!
You deserve to feel proud of yourself. That is a huge difference. I have some good news myself. I went to my 2 weeks post op appt today and I am down 17 pounds!!!!!!!!!!! WOW, I am so glad. I wore some sexy red heels and a cute skirt to the appointment with my husband. I felt sexier so I wanted to look sexier. How many sizes have you lost????

experiencing terrible pain in port area when bending over
I am 8:cursing: days Post op and I have this horrible port pain as well. I am very concerned about this also. I wonder if it will always be like this. WHen I cough, I feel the port and it does not feel natural at all. I am so scared to fully cough cause I dont know what will happen. I am having such mixed feelings because I am wondering why I did this? I should have just stopped killing myself by eating and not had to get a foreign object placed under my left breast. I can hardly breathe in deep. I took a week off work but I do not feel I will be able to return on Monday. I am still highly sore and not energetic.

5 days banded, food/hunger question
I am experiencing the same thing. Tomorrow is day 5 for me and all I have been eating is jello, pudding, water, and gatorade. I feel like I am not getting enough calories and I feel very weak. Is it time for mushies yet???? I feel like I am going to die from hunger before its time to eat real food again.

After Surgery
I look forward to crossing my legs, bending over touching my toes, tying my shoes without help, and making love to my husband without my stomach being in the way.

I am going crazy also. Dr. Pepper was my best friend. We had part in such sweet sorrow.

Days Off
I had my surgery yesterday on the 16th. I will go back to work on the 26th. I think going back 2 or 3 days is crazy. You have to let your body. I am on day 2 and extremely sore and could not imagine going back to work today or tomorrow.

Post-Op and Freaking Out A Bit
Everything is ok. Be proud of yourself for deciding on the change. I am in your same boat because my grandmother and my husband did not want me to get the band but I was banded today. I have to do me because for so many years, I havent. God bless you.

New to the forum will be banded april 14th!
Sashay, thank you so much for your encouragement. I went in this morning with a positive attitude and it has worked thus far. I am very sore today but I am managing. I have the pain in left shoulder just like so many of you have experienced which is not fun at all. I am just glad the surgery is over. I have 5 days of liquid before I can have mushy foods so I am feeling very hungry right now. I am using school as a distraction but it did not help that my husband cooked bbq for himself and the children today. All is well though. How are you???
