late fill?

Hi! I'm a little over a month post op and I was due for a fill in a few days. I contact my surgeons office and they say that he'll be back next month. So I set up my appt to see him in march. I was wondering, that it's pretty late for me to have a fill in march. That'll be a month and a half post op. But they said I should be fine. I guess I'll just wait it out and eat properly. Any advice until I get my fill?!

My banding was on Dec. 21, 2009 and I just had my first fill today. It was a good size fill(4.6 in a 10 band). I lost 28 lbs the first 5 weeks and stayed the same for the last 3. Good luck

whew! Thanks for the reply. And congrats on coming this far. I thought I was a little late but now I know I'm not.

looking around this site I thought I was behind also. There are people who are on there 2 & 3rd fill who were banded after me. In a year from now we will all be healthier and the fill thing will not matter as much.

I was banded on 10/21 and didn't have my first fill until 1/14, almost 3 months post op. I go for #2 next week and I'll be 4 months post op. I think like with everything else, each doc is different. I wish I had one that could get me in every 2 to 3 weeks for a fill lol Still on the hunt for the sweet spot :-)
