Hello All

Hello all - Just started my journey towards insurance approval. I know my United Health Care policy has ANY form of weight loss help (surgery, medication, diets, even counseling) excluded. So my doctor's office is going to take it through the process and see what will happens. Wish me well. I've gotten a lot of information and inspiration from this site. Looking forward to being able to say " I've been approved!"

I, too, am still in the approval process. I do have my first appointment with the surgeon on Feb 15th and a prelemenary surgery date of 3/24. Wishing you luck, speed and health....

Do you have any complications of being overweight? Diabetes, high blood pressure, high colesterol?? If you get a denial from your insurance, appeal it and make sure they have all the facts about your health. You can go as high as the state insurance board..so don't give up. Any thing good is worth the fight!!
