Starting to question myself

I got banded 10/20/09. I have lost 34 lbs as of this morning and have about 31 to go and I have been thrilled about it. This morning I realized that I haven't been this size since 2004 (then only briefly), I have been losing 2-3 lbs a week so I started thinking that soon I will be in the 150's and I havent been that size since 2001 (again only briefly), now here is where that voice in my head started putting in its 2 cents. I am scared that this is going to be like the other 20 or so diets that I have tried where I lost 30-50 lbs and then gained it back plus some. I hate to be negative but I have really freaked myself out today with this. Anyone else?

i think its completely natrually to second guess yourself. but along wih the band you are learning new eating habits so it really isn't like other yo yo diet we've all been on throughout our lives. i think as long as you are mainting proper eating habits, you'll be fine.

congrats on the weight loss thus far!!

I freak myself out with that kind of crap all the time. I'm still a newbie, 14 days post-op and I just keep telling myself that the difference with the band is that it doesn't depend entirely on my willpower. If you've lost 30+ pounds, the band is doing it's job and so are you. If you fall off the wagon, you can get another fill and get back on. I keep hearing the phrase that nothing tastes as good as skinny feels so with your success so far, that mental game is as good as any to keep yourself going!
