I got my first fill at four weeks.

I got my first fill at 6 weeks 5cc. feels strange i go on liquids for 2 days after then soft for one:thumbup:

I'm 7 weeks post op and went in today ... doc said no fill needed I'm losing well on my own at this point 30lbs gone.

He said a rare few can go 3 - 4 months with the band and not need a fill and even a rarier number never need a fill.

I have kept my postion the same as that right after surgery and worked closely with my nutritionist.

Good luck-

Im scheduled for my first fill at 7 weeks. I am currently getting full off a little amount of food but it only lasts like maybe an hour. Hoping the first fill will make it last longer.

APRIL!! Have you really lost 34lbs??? I am sooo proud of you! You are doing so great! You are my HERO! I'm so glad you are my Bandster Buddy! Keep up the awesome work! You are fantastic!!!

I got my first fill at 6 weeks. It was supposed to be at 5 weeks, but had to be postponed. I got 3cc at my first fill (less than a week ago). I don't have enough restriction yet so I am calling back to get another fill, hopefully in another week.

I got my first fill of 4cc's at 5 weeks out. I felt it just wasn't enough and went back a week later and got 2 more cc's

I got my band on 11-20-09 and my frist fill on 01-07-10 and that was 1cc and i have droped 44 lbs from the band date i go back and get my 2nd fill on 02-17-10 best of luck to all of us:thumbup:

Got my band on 10/21/09 and first fill on 1/14/10 (the Holidays and vacations screwed me up so I went a LONG time before my first fill). It didn't do much, so I go in on 2/25 for my 2nd.

I got my first fill of 3ccs 4 weeks out. Now I will go every two weeks until I hit my sweet spot. Best wishes!

Like 4 months later. No money and I was scared of the PB'ing too but since most doctors start gradually this probably won't be a problem. Even on my 2nd fill last week it's not so bad. Yes, it is very uncomfortable if I don't chew enough but not yet to the level of PB's which I imagine is super painful.

Hi,

I am 20 days post surgery and also feel great. I have not had any real hunger so far. I am down 20.5 pounds since 1/13 and my first fill will be 2/9. I think I will be getting 5 cc in an 11 cc band. I can't wait.

thank u all for the responses, i am have been eating solids already i find that if i dont chew correctly it feels uncomfortable.... i hope i dont ahve a ob incident after my first fill, but i think i need it... this week has been hard with loosing weight, and i had an ansiety food attack and i felt so sick after eating just because... i didnt throw up, but i definitly had stomach ache... i need to refocus... i am so working out today!!! need to burn from yesterday!!!

I got my first fill at 3 weeks, 3ccs on top of the 3ccs he put in day of surgery. It pretty much did nothing and I was able to eat anything and more than I should. But, the 2nd fill did the trick - that 1.5ccs last week has give me real restriction on volume and food type. I can't eat bread without pain and some meats are bothering me too. I had my first sliming and vomiting incident this week. Everyone is different though - your fill might be perfect the first time around. Have to wait and see. The beauty is that if it is too much, they can fix it. If it's not enough...they can fix it.
