I have been researching all the gastric surgeries that are available and you all have me convienced that the band is the way to go. I have been waiting to for my tri care prime to kick in and now just have to figure out my next step.

Just dropping by to welcome you and wish you the best of luck in your journey. I love VA.BCH. I lived there for about 27yrs. I'm going there today for a fill, It's really changed alot the past 10yrs. Now for me it's a nice place to visit but I'm glad to come home to the country.

I have Tricare Prime as well. I am meeting with my Doctor in a few days to discuss getting the band. I hope to be approved!! I feel that it will be my only chance at life. I am also in Va Beach :thumbup: Have you found out anything while waiting for ins to kick in??

I didn't get any help from my doctor, but that is because he is an optima doctor and they don't deal with TC Prime nor do they cover any portion of any gastric operations dealing with weight loss. I am planning on switching primary care physicians and see if I can get my referral that way. I hope it works. I will let you know.
