Hello, new to the forum

Hi Everyone,

I had surgery on Dec. 18th. I had surgery in Houston, TX. I have been doing pretty well, I did how gas pains through the entire left side of my body for about 5 days. It has gotten better with time. I was getting hungry by day 4, but once I entered into the thick liquids and pureed foods I have been doing well and not feeling hungry at all. My biggest challenge has been trying to down the Protein shakes to get all the protein I need. I have not felt nausea at all, but trying to down the Protein Shakes makes a bit nausea.

Does anyone have any advice?

I have lost since my pre-op to now a total of 12lbs. I'm not sure if this is going slow, but I am glad for any little bit.

I wouldn't call it slow. You've lost 12 pounds in two weeks. Normal weight loss for person without the lap band would be 2 pounds per week. Pat yourself on the back. ;)
