You could try a mixture of olive oil, lemon, and garlic with fresh cracked black pepper. When you go to eat it cold try a mixture of low-fat Mayo (or yogurt), lemon, salt and a dash of hot sauce. It’s the sauce they use for cold lobster rolls. I’m kind of a snob though when it comes to fats and the only time I willfully eat margarine is in my mom’s no bake cookies. -

Day 8ish- apparently what I mean by variety was a different fruit and veggie option and maybe a protein shake or bar. 😂 I counted both the shake and bar in my total calories for the day but may or may not eat them. One thermos has soup the other frozen strawberries and yogurt. The baggies are granola and roasted garbanzo beans. Took the leftover pizza with green beans and a salad with light Italian dressing. -

My husband is from NYC and made chopped cheese for his lunch and made a special one for me: 1/3 cup ground turkey seasoned with salt, zatar seasoning, and hot sauce all cooked until done and chopped into pieces in the pan 2 TBSP non fat greek yogurt 2 teaspoons of sugar free ketchup He knows I love pickles and went the extra mile and grated in a half sour pickle spear for me. It was delicious and filling and just everything I wanted for lunch on the soft meat stage. -

First time posting meals but I did read through almost the first 100 pages of the thread. Let me just say, there was a lot of salad and yogurt... and I plan to continue that trend. 😂 Breakfast was 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek with 2tbsp peanut butter powder and 1/4 cup frozen berries. Ended up eating the rest for first dinner (5pm). Oh, and no sugar added hot chocolate with a scoop unflavored protein powder (not pictured). Lunch was 1/2 cup cottage with 2 slices roasted turkey slices and sautéed with 1/4c onion, 1/4 cup zucchini some garlic, and some garlic chili sauce. Second Dinner 7pm was a low carb tortilla crusted with shredded cheese blend and dipped in 1/4 cup simply ragu. Ended up eating the whole thing over an hour. -

@SueperGaland @MIZ60 Thank you for the comparison photos. Just what I hoped to see. I'm glad you mentioned that the Thai food was 1 cup (your order) because I was only able to see a difference. A description of what was in the omelet was helpful also. I'm only guessing about the yogurt. The shot is a close-up so I don't really know how much that is. (I usually make my own yogurt, so I'm not familiar with most of the commercial sizes.) -

I will preface this by saying i do not have any food issues/addiction (my Team knew this) so my path may be a little different. I stop stressing about food a LONG time ago. I did track during weight loss phase but not I can estimate. I think my pivotal point was when my team gave me the greenlight to eat whatever I wanted on holiday in Europe. I was 4 months post op and convinced I shouldn't/couldn't eat certain thing because having the surgery meant a stringent lifestyle. But they told me to go for it, eat what I want within reason. So I ate all the pizza, gelato, crossaints & pastries I wanted. After a few days I began to visit markets in search of yogurts, cheese, fish etc. Still occasionally mixing in the decadent foods. When I returned home nearly a month later I got was back to business. I truly believe if I had deprived myself during that time i would not have ever found a balance that works for me. I know exactly what I'm willing and unwilling to eat when i go to a restaurant. I'm on autopilot. Mostly I choose a protein forward meal, vegetables/salad and a desert with the least sugar/cals. I often make substitutions because its the permanent lifestyle I chose (sugar free/lower carb/lower cal) but I don't always eat in weight loss mode because I don't want to lose anymore weight. -

My Nutritionist did a food demo this week and here they are. No after picture but I finished them both. For perspective the glass is a a shot glass and bowl is a small dessert bowl. She served less than an once of yogurt in each. They both were great and opposites on flavor. My wife hates food demos because I skip out in dinner. -

I'm three days post-op and was started on phase 2, pureed foods yesterday. Here are the two-tablespoonsful cups of food they have sent me for meals and how much I have eaten. It ranges from chicken and cream of asparagus soup to turkey and cream of mushroom, and any combination of the two. The single cup is Lite n Fit Greek yogurt, vanilla flavor. I also get a chocolate protein shake with breakfast and I'm using the empty 30ml cup to drink my portion of the shake. So far, so good... -

That looks really good. What is Matcha? A brand of yogurt or something you added to it? Ceremonial grade green tea, super concentrated. Sorry I'm missing notifications and I'm seeing everything super late... I add lemon flavored stevia so it's like lemon green tea yogurt, I'm *Tom Cruise voice* literally addicted. I love it. It tastes amazing and natural But I'm a person who loves stevia, golden milk and Kale... Your taste may differ -

I was gonna say @ms.sss that I’ll be more than happy to eat ALL the carbs! As is the case with dinner- kabuli pilau and vegetable raita. For those that aren’t familiar- pilau is a kind of rice pilaf dish that varies by country across Southern Asia and the Middle East, kabuli pilau is one that comes from Kabul, Afghanistan and traditionally is made with lamb, carrots and raisins. Raita is a yogurt dip? Salad? that’s popular in many variations in India. I think if I make that particular pilau again I’ll double the spices and reduce the ghee used. No after picture, I ate it all. -

Sunday brunch out. Needed a break from cooking this week. Tried new excellent restaurant in town porch side. We ordered a sampling feast for plenty of leftovers. Shrimp + slivered cauliflower, date, kale, roasted almond salad with lemon vinaigrette. Classic Cuban sandwich with pineapple aioli. Chicken and red velvet waffles with spicy maple syrup + lemon yogurt. The best meal out in a very long time. I ate two shrimp and ¼ of the salad. Enjoyed the salad, shrimp and some chicken again for Monday's dinner. Hub's been eating the rest. ;] -

The dressing was 1.25 cups plain whole milk Greek yogurt, two table spoons of mayo, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, a teaspoon of sugar (could probably use a sugar replacement, but I didn’t because it was so little), a teaspoon of salt, pepper, a little garlic powder, a teaspoon of rosemary, like 2 table spoons of tarragon, and a dash of tumeric. I didn’t have dill weed so I used tarragon in the dressing. Really wished I had dill weed! -

it may look like mashed potatoes and beef with spices, but it's actually greek yogurt and dates...with spices lol. ever since someone on here mentioned they put black pepper on thier yougurt years ago, i have since preferred my yogurts to be more savory than sweet. i often put other "uncommon" stuff on my yogurts: roasted garlic, carmelized onions, anchovies, cucumbers, bacon, olive oil.. 228 calories for this one. ate it all.
