Hey Renee wassup baby girl. Yes I am cleared for all exercise. Now the question is do I do any exercising and the answer would be only walking. A couple friends suggested I get a personal trainer, which I am seriously thinking about. I need to do something about toning up this saggy skin. LOL. I haven't forgotten that you have an appointment with Dr. H. Please keep me updated baby girl.

Hey Dana,
It's your girl here in Omaha. Ok, so I received a private message from someone who told there story about leaks..it sounded more serious than I lead on. But, I have put a call into my Dr and I just talked to my mom (not a medical professional, but I value her opinion), and she just reminded me that surgery is also based on your health. I'm 30 and weight about 285, I have had no health issues other than being heavy and some infertility issues. Also, each experience may be based on each individual's skin too. It depends on how your skin heals and keeping your insisions clean. I don't want to be neieve, but I don't want to be paranoid. I had a friend tell me that she saw a report on CNN or something like that..that said people get paid to post blogs..it's there job to promote who they work for. Even if they are true, they may be based on a handful of cases. Anyway, I just don't like to be bullied.
What do you think?

Hey hunny don't feel bad about visiting the site as much I've slowed down alot, just don't have much time. I'm off protein supplements so I get what i need from food now and I'm doing well with that. Honestly I am really bad about taking my vitamins, I know I have to take them to stay healthy but I can't seem to remember them some days. I have started to set an alarm on my phone to help me remember. Surgery for me was great the first 3 days I was like man this (ish) is not cool but by the 5th day I felt fine. Like most people on this site yes I would do it again in a heart beat. I have not hit the gym yet still just walking and doing my wii fit. I can tell that I need to tone up my arms have deflated and my skin is starting to hang. That doesn't bother me though I loved my body before. I had surgery to jump start healthy living. But I would like to be tighter and not so flappy (lol). Have you lost any weight pre-op? Do you have a date scheduled?

Hey Grace!
Things are wonderful. Down 85 lbs, eatting anything I want in the appropriate amount. Only thing to watch in myself is snacking and drinking with meals. I walked for 1.5 miles with NO backpain (my knees hurt the next day, I don't think my ligaments are used to the new looseness of my joints). No depression, which was a big worry as that is something I have fought my entire life. I feel great! I even had a fairly bad night where I flew back from a job in Cali and lost my ONLY set of car keys. Took 3 hours and $300 to replace the keys so I could drive home at 11 pm. I had a breif moment of hating the surgury since I couldn't "treat" myself because of a bad day. Instead I went tot he store and got some high fiber crackers, brie and apples and had a couple of crackers. something like that before would have kicked me off whatever diet i had tried for months and sent me into a cheating depression.
Did I mention I love the itty bitty tummy?

Hey Missy Carolyn,
Thanks for the nice comments. I look baggie, too, and not happy about that, but comes with the territory of major fast weight loss. I've also had a piriformis muscle issue on the left glute that's bugging the sh*t out of me, painful. Doc says due to the weight loss. I'll go back to Mexico to get rid of all the hanging skin - Dr. Bell0 - already got the quote. Just waiting for my DH's job situation to settle before I set a date. I don't get in nearly the protein I should be; my calorie count is still very low, though, and I have 8 pounds to goal. I drink my protein drinks maybe 2X a week.

Hey there, and thank you.
As for the skin, oh believe me, I have plenty of it. But, it is rebounding nicely. In that dress, honestly, all I have on underneath is a pair of hipster panties. I still have a small fat roll, little pooch on my lower abdomen, but I've learned to accept it. My boobs are shot to hell, and I will have breast implants. I will also have a tummy tuck after I have another c-section. I do have kind of wrinkly skin on my upper inner thighs, and honestly it doesn't bother me. I still have flabby arms, and that's why I wear shrugs/bolero type garments with sleeveless/tanks. In reality, my body is pretty "droopy" as my husband says, but like I tell everyone that asks me, I wouldn't trade in the body I have now for the body I had at 270lbs, well except for my boobs LOL. I do miss my boobs, and actually hate them right now, but nothing that a great push up bra can't conceal when I have on clothes.
Best wishes, and if you need anything, let me know.
Tiff

Lady B; I think all diets work. While you are on them. Then~~~~. I have been on almost every diet possible. I loose great. I gain it all back greater. The sleeve is my hope/chance to loose it and keep it off. I believe it is a life long tool for me to live a "normal" life at a "normal" weight, and still be healthy.

Hey there, yeppers I have excess skin on my tummy, boobs and inner thighs. My inner thighs look worse than my stomach, but I don't ever wear shorts. The best way for me to describe it is wrinkly. My boobs are really saggy, and kind of resemble deflated water balloons, but with a good push up bra, they look great under clothes. I still have flabby, fatty batwing arms, but none of it is negatively affecting me. I'm not having to wear undergarments to contain the skin, or smooth things out so I don't think it's that bad. Thanks for the sweet compliments, and I know you're gonna do fabulous with your sleeve.

I have the same issue with the skin. I had fat on my lower abdomen that I can't kick just yet, but it's shrinking so I'll just wait until after we have a baby to have it repaired. Best wishes on your continued success.

I am at my six week post op. I am down 55 pounds. I know it sounds good but I feel like I'm really loosing slower than I should be. I am happy to be under 300 pound mark though. I am at 290 now. Started out at 343 pounds. I also have the hiccups alot. Does that happen to a lot of people. Its usually when I get full, but sometimes it's when I am drinking too. I think it is weird. I can also hear my stomach growling alot. Sounds upset but isn't. Sometimes I think it is telling me I...
