Late June Sleeve Buddies?
Madreof4 replied to Maggie143's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved 6/17 and was also losing about a pound a day! I've lost 26lbs but on my one week check up I had lost 25 so only 1lb and fluctuating up and down! Haven't measured myself at all! I'm pissed bc I didn't measure before the surgery but really need to measure bc I'm easily discouraged! My nutrionist told me to expect stalls so I'm just going with the flow!! Good luck everyone! I called the doc about a week after surgery bc I hadnt heard that we couldnt use straws. He said that I could give it a shot. He said for some people it gives them a "too much air" feeling, but that it wouldnt hurt anything...just might be uncomfy. I dont drink from straws though...so I can't tell you how it makes me feel.

there u go a gain, you are not G*D and cannot say that I am wrong, you have no place or authority, and G*D never turns His back on anyone, not even rightious, biggoted ppl like u. You are pathetic and lost in your crazy holy rolling world you live in. You are easily the most closed minded hateful person I have ever come across. Thank your lucky stars that G*D is loving bc otherwise I don't know what would happen to u. I can't beleive the Hate that permiates your whole being, its disgusting.

I love that nickname... i love the native american culture, it is beautiful and peaceful. I just am having a really hard time having my faith attacked bc I don't beleive in the same thing as crazy does. I agree that she picks and chooses what she wants to beleive and live by. thank goodness, the religious leaders of our country, those of all faithes, aren't intollerent and ridgid and hateful as PG. She forgets that there are many many cultures that don't go by the bible, never even heard of it, and still have a relationship with G*D be it a different name they call Him. The native americans just for one, are one of the most spirital peoples, they have another name for Him, but no doubt it is He. Ignorance and hate is so ugly as she continually proves on this thread. omg I don't know how anyone can compare the atrocities of raping a child to a loving relationship between 2 people reguardless if they are the same sex. Its so skuwed to me. amy

Bonofide Stall How Do You Break It?!
Wheetsin replied to 612belly's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
"3 week stall" (which really isn't a stall) is almost something we need to expect... but no one tells us about. Honestly, don't try to break it. It's not really a stall, it's your body trying to adjust. You're seeing what goes in to your body, but you aren't seeing what's happening on the inside. Your body's kind of freaking out right now, trying to survive this famine. Your body doesn't know it's supposed to be eating less, your body just knows how to survive. To it, there's not much food, so it must be starving. Reserve energy "troops" are being mobilized out of bunkers like your liver and into your bloodstream. Your metabolism may have been given the order to lay low and avoid enemy fire. Your body is pulling resources like Fluid away from more well-fed troops and giving it to the ones who aren't doing so hot. All of this fluctuation is behind most things we call "stalls" (it's also behind most unexplainable or quick weight losses/gains). Your body is doing exactly what it should do. Don't have a knee jerk reaction and try to "fix" something, because there's nothing wrong and nothing to fix. If you try to fix, you're just going to throw things off even more. After about 5 or 6 weeks of this, then you can start looking at what you're doing and what you night be able to change, but even then you can do everything right and see no results. It's just a fact of being alive. -
I just got approved from BC for a revision from sleeve to Rny

bakawaka replied to crstalww's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, I sometimes have moments like that. I am approximately two weeks post op and amazed at the diversity of food I am able to eat (that scares me bc of fear of returning to old habits). -

I cant eat anything I have heart burn and when I do I have a funny gurgling noise and a horrible sensation as a stuck feeling afterwards and salivate +++++.. I had a medium sized Meal yesterday and may have been too much post this was being continually sick.. my poor gutz feels battered..Can a band move from heaving too much..? Can someone tell me what is happenening with the band?.. I have not had any fills since surgery and this happens now! I have been exercising on a Vibration Plate and wonder if this may have moved the Band out of position. I feel so uncomfortable and am considering getting it removed with my track record... have not lost much weight and feel this was a huge mistake..as it was self funded.. Can anyone advise me please on this..I am on just sips of Water now! HELP HELP HELP! -
Protein shake recommendations
Luvnumbers replied to Brighteyes's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get mine from www.mercola.com The whey is made from GMO free, antibiotic free, hormone free, free range grass fed beef. no artificial anything. If you are lactose intolerant, he also carries a vegetarian pea protein, but I have not tried it. I get the chocolate, but I think this time I am going to order the three pack that has strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. I've been told that Unjury has a good unflavored protein powder, but I haven't tried that one yet. -
Can't really say I did bc I still haven't been able to eat :/

Girl, I fell asleep for just a couple of minutes. Nodded off. I swear I woke thinking I had cheated on my pre-op diet Bc I dreamed I'd walked to the fridge and pulled out some pizza and ate it. I woke in a panic Bc I thought I had. -
3 days post op and in pain just sipping water
DMF3296 replied to Jennoue's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weighed more in hospital too bc they pump you with all the fluids, then when I weighed in at my 7 day post up I had lost 8 pounds, my doctor said that was normal bc it was the fluids balancing out. -
I just can't get started on the pre-op liquid diet. I keep cheating by noon.
Oregondaisy replied to SydneyLouWho's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There you go! Another great alternative. People have to be on liquid diets for awhile after surgery. It's hard enough then, and that's when it's really important. It's very important for the band to heal properly on the stomach and it can't heal properly if it's bumping and grinding trying to digest solid food. I think it's too much to ask that someone be on liquids only before surgery and then when it's most important to be on liquids after surgery, the patient is just fed up with liquids. After surgery is when you can't afford to vary from the post op diet. -

Okay, now I AM JEALOUS. I'm 5'1" and I stopped at 148. I've weight 146 and 147 a few times. My body just settled in. I was so scared I wouldn't be able to stop losing and here I can't even get to goal. I think it is cool though, and I'd love to weigh below goal. As long as it is not too far, bc then you have a cushion. -
I gotta wait 6 months to. Hoping it flies by. BC I'm feeling impatient.

Late June Sleeve Buddies?
melissac79 replied to Maggie143's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@shelterdog64. Sorry I didn't get back sooner. Doc said it appeared ok but that he has to go back and look at everything and write up a report. It still feels like things are stuck and bc of that it makes me puke or just feel uncomfortable. Also, my stress level has been through the roof. I started back to work today and while I was so excited I had no energy after 5 hours. Also, yesterday was a terrible day. I found out that my fiancées brother was found dead. He was only 30. July is a tough month for me as my sister passed two years ago in July also Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -

hi everyone! hope everyone is having a great time and recovering well! i am 7 days into my pre- op and i have lost 11 pounds. i am doing 3 shakes a day and 80+ ounces of clear fluids. i pee all day! its insane like i feel like im always running to the bathroom with the kiddos. I have 4 days til my surgery is anyone else experiencing irritability and crankiness? every soudn seems louder and smells seems more fragrant. i cook every night for the kids it is torture. last night they wanted to go to the movies so i took them and naturally i hold the youngest's popcorn bc she spills it everytime. the smell of popcorn was tempting me llol. I just learned i could season my broth with is nice but no salt. I am really anxious to just get the surgery oer with and start my healing. i feel like my body is going through such weird changes sometimes im freezing sometimes i feel like im in a suana. but usually always tired and low on patience haha. good luck everyone! -
I passed pysch with flying colors. I spoon fed her an epic level of bullshit. Or did you not see that in my personality yet? I have no friends. Surprised? Did you miss the post where I admitted as such?
